We are here to serve!
At Lakeside, we believe that as Christians, we are called to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Life Care Ministry is designed to give help and support to the members of our church body in times of need.
A Message From the Life Care Ministry Leader, Robert Sapp:
My wife and I are blessed to chair this ministry, and our desire is to help those who are going through the valleys, and are struggling to climb the mountain. Jesus tells us in John 16:33 “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.” If we are honest, we have all gone through hard times where we have needed help/support. The purpose of this ministry is to provide help and support when our members are in need. Life Care Ministry was born from a heart-felt desire to serve the church body by helping members connect to others who can assist them in times of need.
In Matthew 25:35-40, Christ tells us “35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: 36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me. 37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink? 38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee? 39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee? 40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.”
